CQC Inspection report.

UPDATED January 2017 - CQC Inspection

Following the inspection and report in April 2016, the CQC have again inspected Lime Tree Dental Practice (19th January 2017) and we were found to be FULLY COMPLIANT with all of the "Key Lines of Enquiry". We are very pleased that the hard work of our whole team to deliver a high level of care for our patients has now been recognised. The new report is expected to be published by March 2017. We look forward to the new report being published by the CQC. Thank you to all of our patients who showed their support to the practice. In a recent Patient Satisfaction Survey when asked "how do you rate the practice overall?" 97% rated us 10/10 & all 100% of responses rated us 9 or 10 out of 10.

CQC Inspection Report from April 2016

Lime Tree Dental Practice was inspected by the CQC under their new style of comprehensive inspection in April 2016.
CQC inspectors were at the practice for a day and were impressed with the exceptionally high level of written, positive patient feedback.

They also spent time with patients in surgery and commented on “the excellent service patients received, professionalism and caring nature of the staff”

We were found to be effective, responsive and caring and have very positive feedback from our patients

In 2 of their 5 key lines of inquiry, we were not found to be fully compliant and improvement is required. However, in both of these sections, the CQC response was positive

The CQC report states that “the impact of safety concerns is minor in terms of clinical care for patients” they also noted, “We found this practice was providing effective care in accordance with relevant regulations”

With regard to infection control, the areas highlighted by the CQC have now all been addressed and the required changes are being made.

The report commented that Lime Tree Dental Practice was very responsive and made immediate changes on the day of the inspection, whilst the inspectors were present.

Since the 2016 inspection, we have invested heavily in a compliance management system.

Further to our previous CQC inspection in 2012 when we were fully compliant, there have been extensive new regulations and legislation introduced, some of which we had not fully implemented, however these are now all covered by our new compliance systems

The team at Lime Tree are confident that a focused re-inspection will find us compliant, safe and well-led.
We are always striving to improve and have done so in direct response to this report. We look forward to our re-inspection in the near future.
